Beginnings
Early years
In 1959, its founder, engineer Juan Carlos Wasmosy, together with other colleagues, formed an engineering firm, entering the construction sector through the design and calculation of major projects.
A big step
In 1970, it became CONSTRUCCIONES ING. J.C. WASMOSY and began producing stone aggregates for the domestic and export markets, becoming one of the main suppliers for road works along the Argentine border.
Consolidation
Following the sector's expansion, in 1975 it founded ECOMIPA S.A., joining various consortia with national and international firms to build large-scale projects. Ecomipa S.A. led the CONEMPA S.R.L. consortium on the Paraguayan side which, together with the Brazilian consortium, executed the main works of the Itaipú Hydroelectric Dam.
The legacy
In parallel, it took part in the construction of the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Dam, in addition to specialising in the production of stone aggregates, with facilities in various parts of the country.
And we keep working...
To date, we have continuously contributed to the growth of public works in general, especially in the road and infrastructure sectors.
